Nathaniel Peat Sensei, 6th Dan (Kyoshi)
Shihan Nathaniel Peat has over 25 years as a professional martial arts instructor and he has 35 years experience in the Martial Arts. Peat sensei has a 6th degree (dan) black belt in Okinawa Gōjū-ryū (剛柔流) with the Shōgō (称号, "title", "name", "degree") of Kyoshi of the Japanese honorifics, awarded by Saiko Shihan Kyoshi Yamanaka. Peat sensei is also Jamaica's World Representative to the WKF and is a member of the Jamaica Karate Federation, World Karate Federation and Yudansha Kobu-jitsu karate-doh Federation, he is also a direct student of Shihan Kyōshi (教士:きょうし) Ronald Yamanaka who was a student of the late Eiichi Miyazato.
His solid knowledge in authentic martial arts extends several disciplines including Okinawa & Japanese Karate, Okinawa Kobudo (weapons), Shindo Ryu Ju-Jitsu and Wing Chun. He is an expert in urban knife defence and has developed a unique gross motor functional movement defence tactics for non experienced practicioners. Peat Sensei has coached students up to international level helping them to achive various titles which include both national and international.
